My Journey

About Me

Let's rewind the clock to my junior year in high school, where it all began. Our teacher assigned us a task: create a webpage that reflects our individual identities. At first, I was ecstatic; I couldn't wait to dive into this exciting project. Little did I know the adventure that awaited me. Choosing the right color scheme and font turned out to be more daunting than I had ever imagined. Comic Sans might ring a bell for some of you; yes, I was dubbed the "Comic Sans girl" in high school. But despite the challenges, I was thoroughly engrossed in what I was doing. The moment I presented my website and received all that positive feedback, something clicked within me. It was the first taste of how fulfilling it could be to share something I was truly passionate about.

Fast forward to my college years, where I pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. Summers came and went, and with each passing season of work, I couldn't help but feel a growing void within me. I was trapped in a world that I hadn't realized wasn't meant for me. I believe many of us can relate to those moments when we're too busy to see our own potential. Don't get me wrong; I genuinely cherished the company I worked for. I spent a solid 12 years there, learning invaluable lessons about leadership and creating enjoyable experiences for others.

And then came the pandemic, a time of reflection and rediscovery for many. It was during this period that I had my epiphany. My brother, of all people, enrolled in a UX/UI design course, and I found myself drawn to his newfound interest. I began asking countless questions, trying to wrap my head around this intriguing field. Little did I expect my younger sibling to become my unexpected teacher in UX Design. You see, we were two very different individuals, but slowly, I began to grasp the essence of UX Design. It felt reminiscent of that high school moment when I sat in that chair, excited about creating my personal webpage.

Recently, I came across an article that emphasized the significance of wholeheartedly committing to UX/UI design, given the fierce competition in the industry. It struck a chord with me, because I realized that this wasn't just a trendy career option; it was my purpose. I'm driven by a deep passion for UX Design that goes beyond trends or market demands. This is my calling, and I am unwavering in my commitment to it.
